Tax Matters & Disputes

Attorney Younger has a broad range of experience in tax matters. Over the years he has prepared and filed thousands of tax returns for clients, including:
  1. Estate Tax Return (Forms 706 & M-706)
  2. Gift Tax Return (Form 709)
  3. Fiduciary Income Tax Return (Form 1041)
Additionally, Attorney Younger has experience in “Trust Fund Liability” claims by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Massachusetts Department of Revenue (MDOR). Traditionally, employers withhold a portion of an employee’s paycheck for the payment of taxes on behalf of the employee. When those taxes are not turned over to the tax authority, the IRS and MDOR can seek those funds from a person deemed to be “responsible” if the tax authority also finds that the person “willfully” failed to make the payment to the authority.
